Akwa Ibom LG Chairman, Mr. Nse Ntuen Arrested For Smuggling $82,000 Into USA

The Maryland State Police Department, USA, yesterday confirmed the arrest of the Executive Chairman of Udim Local Government in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Nse Ntuen, for smuggling $82, 000 into the United States without declaring it with the Customs officials both in Nigeria and the US.
Nse Ntuen, was arrested on Friday by operatives of the Maryland State Police Department at the BWI International Airport, Baltimore. 
According to the Police, he declared only $5,000 before the rest of the money was found in his bag.
He later admitted he truly smuggled the money into the country with the aim to use it as donations at the just-concluded Annual International Convention of the Akwa Ibom Indigenes in the United States and Canada which was held at the Marriot Hotel in Washington, DC on saturday. 
He was later released after 5 hours in custody and the money seized.

N1 Billion Fraud: Maiduguri Flour Mills Shut Down Operations

Alleged misappropriation of a whopping sum of N1 billion and other financial irregularities has forced the management of Maiduguri Flour Mills to shut down its operations indefinitely yemojanews gathered.
The  Manager of the company , Alhaji Adamu Badejo has been under the raging storm for allegedly diverting  funds belonging to the flour mills to his personal use .
Already, the Union leaders of Senior and Junior Staff led by, Engr. Mohammed Bukar and Mr. Ibrahim Hyelakumi respectively  had  dragged  the embattled Manager before the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for alleged corruption Charges .
The Union who had also reported the issue to its mother body in Apapa Lagos State said it will use the floor of their meetings with other unions under the National Union of Food, Beverages and Tabacco Employees (NUFBTE) to press on EFCC  to bring Adamu Badejo to book for corruption charges.
The  workers who  demanded the immediate  sack and subsequent prosecution of the manager have also petitioned Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, (ICPC), Borno State House of Assembly (BOHA) and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) to expose the Manager, Alhaji Adamu Badejo over corrupt practices.
According to the  union leadership, “the Manager claimed to have been paying staff salary to the tune of N23 million,  but this is total falsehood because our  gross net pay is not up to N9 million , contrary to what the manager told the management in Lagos and many other issues of duplication  of figures by Alhaji Adamu Badejo, which is why the mother company decided shut down operations in Maiduguri.
“In view of  the shutting  down of the company in Maidugiri,  we are  set for a meeting with the mother company in Lagos on Wednesday to discuss the issue of staff payoff and other entitlements.”.

A group that tags itself whistleblowers against corruption has accused Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, of squandering millions of dollars of public funds to rent private jets for the conduct of her official activities. In a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the group, known as Crusader for Good Governance,” demanded that Ms. Allison-Madueke be investigated for her habit of spending extravagant sums to rent private jets for her official hops.

Prophet Ajanaku Died Mysteriously


The spiritual leader of Christ Victory Chapel International, Prophet Ajanaku is dead.
A close family member who witnessed Prophet Ireti Ajanaku’s death, has narrated how the incident occurred.
Until his death, Prophet Ajanaku who was in his late 40′s, was gospel singer Tope Alabi’s spiritual father – even though their relationship derailed over some alleged sexual harassment.
The close source narrated thus:
“He fell ill on Saturday in his home in Gbongan Osun state.  A nurse was brought to treat him and she gave him sedative to help him sleep. However, by the time his aides went to wake him up for Sunday service in the morning, they found him dead. He died in his sleep between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. “

Malabu $1.1bn Fraud: Obasanjo Demanded Share Bribe, Etete tells British Court

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was involved in an underground attempt to cut a slice of oil bloc OPL 245 in the dubious Malabu oil deal, the man at the centre of the scam, Dan Etete, told a British High Court.
According to details of the approved judgment by Lady Justice Gloster of the Commercial division of the Royal Court of Justice, London, in a breach of contract case between Malabu Oil and middleman Emeka Obi, owner of Energy Ventures Partners Limited (EVP), Mr. Etete, a convicted felon and sole signatory to Malabu accounts, said his licence to the oil block was revoked in 2001 because conflicts erupted after Mr. Obasanjo made personal demands on the controversial oil bloc.

Olamide Now Charges N1M For Collaboration
